The Monticello Victims of Mill Tailing Exposure (VMTE) Cancer Screening Program is raising awareness about health risks from exposure before 2002. Current uranium milling and mining operations in the United States operate under very stringent regulations. These safety regulations did not exist in the 1950s and 1960s for the Monticello Uranium Mill.

The Program is happy to assist with the cost of testing and screening for cancer for those who lived, worked, or went to school in Monticello before 2002. We cannot diagnose your medical condition, decide on your treatment plan, or cover the expenses for treatment, but we will work to connect you to other resources.
